GreenGo Travel is a boutique tour operator based in Quito, Ecuador, founded in 2012 with the mission of making unique South American experiences accessible while promoting responsible travel. The company specializes in Galápagos cruises, Amazon rainforest adventures, and tailor-made itineraries across Ecuador and Peru.

The Challenge They Were Facing

As with so many travel companies around the world, especially those based in less developed countries, accessing payment processing can be challenging. It is not simply the availability of these services but also the high cost when most of your market is located out of country, often then combined with the provider not having appetite to onboard with a company in a perceived higher risk industry like travel.

This was exactly the issue faced by GreenGoTravel with their base in Ecuador but with clients from all over the world, including the US and Europe. While they had an incumbent payment processer when they came to Repayd, the fees were high, the goalposts and expectations kept changing, and they did not have the security that their account would not be turned off at any time.

GreenGo also needed something that would work seemlessly with their reservation platform ensuring they did not miss a booking, or payment.

With Repayd connecting in to Bokun, who GreenGo use as a reservation platform, the transition was seamless and the relationship has continued to grow.
